Public Works Center
The Public Works Center in Jacksonville installed 5,500 Winsulators covering a total of nearly 53,000 square feet in five projects in and around the Naval Air Station Jacksonville, with official results coming from the energy manager of the Navy. Funded under a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) at a total cost of nearly $1.25 million, these projects are saving more than $220,000 a year and greatly improving the comfort levels within the buildings where they were installed.
The Winsulator, an internal storm window system, is a simple, but innovative technology, promoted and funded by the State of Florida Energy Conservation Assistance Program.
