Dr. Burdge has an extensive background and experience in sports medicine. He is fortunate to have worked and learned alongside some of the nation’s most respected sports medicine physicians. For instance, during his postgraduate residency at the VA in Salt Lake City, Dr. Burdge had the opportunity to work with Dr. Michael Lowe, the podiatrist for the Utah Jazz. Years later, he partnered with a top sports medicine doctor, treating several high profile athletes over a period of three years.
The University of Texas at San Antonio Medical Center is regarded by many as a top-if not the #1-center for diabetes research and clinical care. Dr. Burdge spent a year of his residency acquiring a level of education and experience in diabetes that surpasses many of his peers.
Between his decades of experience in pediatric podiatry and pediatric surgery, and his easy manner, Dr. Burdge is well known for his effectiveness in treating children.
Scott Burdge, DPM is a podiatric physician and board-certified podiatric surgeon in practice for 28 years, since 1995.
Dr. Burdge went to Brigham Young University in Provo, UT for his undergraduate education, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts. He then attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, CA and graduated with a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 1995. Dr. Burdge’s postgraduate training included a residency at the University of Texas at San Antonio Medical Center, which is one of the world's top programs for treating diabetic foot problems. When this residency ended, Dr. Burdge went on to a second residency at the VA Salt Lake City Healthcare System in UT which concluded in 1998. During this time, Dr. Burdge had to opportunity to work alongside Dr. Michael Lowe, who was the podiatrist for the Utah Jazz.
